What are the symptoms of rectal prolapse

Rectal prolapse is a relatively common clinical sign. Although it is not common in daily life, once it occurs, it is particularly harmful to human health. It often causes a feeling of heaviness in the anus. Because the anal sphincter is relatively relaxed and weak, mucus will exude at this time. Improper conditioning can cause eczema, bleeding, and even anemia.

Symptom 1: Swelling:

Rectal prolapse is a submucosal prolapse, which causes the rectum or colon to intussusceptible to each other, which will compress the anus and cause a feeling of heaviness, and sometimes heaviness in the thighs and lumbar sacral area.

Symptom 2: Humidity:

Some patients have loose anal sphincter muscles that cannot contract properly, so mucus often flows out of the anus and the patients feel damp. If rectal prolapse is not repositioned in time, congestion, edema or erosion may occur, and mucus irritation to the surrounding skin may cause skin itching.

Symptom 3: Prolapse:

Prolapse is the main symptom of rectal prolapse. Rectal mucus may prolapse in the early stages of defecation and will automatically return to its original position after defecation. However, if not treated in time, the condition will gradually worsen. Sometimes the tooth will dislocate when the patient coughs, walks, bears weight, or squats. It is not easy to reposition and needs to be pushed with hands or rested in bed to be repositioned.

Symptom 4: Bleeding:

Rectal prolapse generally does not cause bleeding, but if the stool is drier, it may damage the mucosa, resulting in bleeding symptoms, which are usually manifested as blood in the stool or blood on toilet paper, and the amount of bleeding is relatively small.
