Is lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer considered advanced?

Gastric cancer lymph node metastasis is usually not in the late stage. 3. Distant lymph node metastasis: Distant lymph node metastasis refers to the spread of cancer cells to lymph nodes in other parts of the body away from the stomach through the lymphatic system. This situation usually corresponds to advanced gastric cancer, where cancer cells have spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system, making treatment more difficult.

Lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer is not necessarily a late stage, and specific evaluation and treatment needs to be carried out according to the different conditions of the patients. For patients with early and mid-stage gastric cancer, surgical resection and lymph node dissection combined with postoperative adjuvant therapy can effectively control the disease and improve the cure rate.
