What to do if your skin is keratinized?

Skin keratosis is also known as chicken skin. Chicken skin is a very common skin problem. It is related to genetics. The probability of chicken skin problem occurring on the legs and arms is higher. At the same time, chicken skin will cause the skin to become less smooth and some red particles will grow. In winter, there will also be mild dandruff, itching and other symptoms. So how should we treat skin keratosis in our daily life?

1. Causes of Keratosis pilaris

The basal cells in the lowest layer of the human epidermis successively transform into polygonal spinous cells, flat granular cells, and flat keratinocytes without nuclei and organelles. This process usually takes one month. The differentiation process of the epidermis is controlled by multiple factors and can be easily disturbed.

Any factor that can cause basal cell division can cause hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis. Such as cyclic adenosine monophosphate and cyclic guanosine monophosphate, prostaglandins, polyamines, inhibitors and glucocorticoid hormones, all of which can regulate the keratinization of the skin. Excessive keratin formation or accumulation of keratin can cause excessive keratinization of the stratum corneum. Incomplete or abnormal keratinization process will lead to incomplete keratinization and dyskeratosis, thus forming symptoms of excessive keratinization of the skin.

2. Treatment of skin keratosis

Skin keratosis is related to many factors. In addition to genetic reasons, it may also be related to vitamin A metabolic disorders, nutritional nerve or vasomotor nerve dysfunction, endocrine disorders and other factors. Usually, those with mild symptoms can apply a moisturizing lotion containing fruit acid or exfoliating ingredients. Severe cases are treated with creams or ointments containing urea, retinoic acid, or salicylic acid. However, drugs are not ideal for the treatment of keratosis pilaris, and it is not easy to cure it.

With the application of cold light quantum in skin beauty, a large number of patients with "excessive hair" and patients with freckles, age spots, and moles have been cured clinically. At the same time, it was found during the treatment that the "small bumps" of patients with follicular keratosis pilaris also magically disappeared. After years of clinical results in the beauty industry, it has been found that patients with keratosis pilaris can generally be cured after two or three cold light quantum treatments. It is painless and does not leave scars. There has been no recurrence in cured patients.

Cold light quantum can not only cure the keratinization of hair follicles, but also decompose and discharge the pigment of the affected area, thus restoring normal skin color. If the patient with keratosis pilaris has had the disease for many years and cold light quantum cannot cure it, cryotherapy can be used first and then combined with cold light quantum, which can have a good healing effect.

3. Prevention of skin keratosis

This disease is more likely to occur in the dry winter climate because the skin loses more water. Therefore, it is not advisable to bathe too frequently in winter, nor to use too many alkaline toiletries. After bathing, apply skin care oil to protect the skin's softness.
