How to treat impetigo

Impetigo is a contagious skin disease that is relatively common in the human body. People suffering from this disease will have many adverse reactions, such as pustules on the skin or itchy pimples. It is contagious and can be transmitted to other people if you are not careful. When facing this disease, people need to take active measures to treat it. Here we will introduce how to better treat impetigo.

Impetigo is a very common superficial skin infection that can be transmitted through some contact. Impetigo is generally characterized by the occurrence of blisters, pustules, and the rupture and formation of pus crusts. After developing impetigo, you don’t need to be too anxious or worried. As long as you use the correct medication, the skin inflammation will disappear.

The topical drug treatment of impetigo is generally based on the principles of sterilization, anti-inflammatory and drying. For patients whose impetigo pustules have not yet broken, a 10% sulfur calamine lotion can be used externally to adjust the condition. When the pustules are relatively large, the blister fluid should be extracted. For patients whose pustules have broken, 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution or 0.5% neomycin solution can be used for cleaning and wet compresses, and then mupirocin ointment and other drugs can be used externally for treatment. Treatment of impetigo should strengthen the care of the eyes, oral cavity and vulva, and pay attention to keeping the impetigo wound surface clean and dry.

For skin problems such as impetigo, medication is very effective, but it is not the only treatment method. Many little tricks in life also have good effects. To relieve and treat impetigo, you can shred the clean yam eggs and then mash them, apply them to the affected area of impetigo, bandage it with gauze, change the dressing once a day, and it will be cured in 5-6 days. If it doesn't work, you can use licorice powder and sesame oil for application, the effect is generally very good.
