What are the early symptoms of rectal polyps

Many people are familiar with rectal polyps, which are tumors covering the rectal mucosa. Rectal polyps are prone to malignant changes, so rectal polyps should be treated promptly once symptoms occur. The early symptoms of rectal polyps are relatively common, especially blood in the stool, which is very typical.

(1) Symptoms of blood in the stool: The early clinical manifestation of rectal polyps is painless blood in the stool. The polyps will fall off due to the squeezing of defecation. If the polyps are large and low in position, there may be a lot of blood in the stool. The characteristic of blood in the stool is blood, but there will not be dripping blood. The early symptom of rectal polyps is blood in the stool.

(ii) Systemic symptoms: Patients with a large number of polyps or a long course of the disease will also experience a large amount of blood loss, which will lead to anemia, weight loss and other systemic weakness in the patient's body. At the same time, when patients excrete a large amount of mucus, they will experience hypokalemic heart rhythm disorders, weakness in the limbs, etc. At the same time, the body will also experience symptoms such as fatigue.

(III) Intestinal symptoms: The early symptoms of rectal polyps are intestinal symptoms. Diarrhea, abdominal pain, tenesmus, etc. are all common symptoms. Some patients may also experience mild diarrhea, mucus stool, difficulty in defecation, stool changes, abdominal pain, etc. These symptoms indicate that the patient suffers from the disease of rectal polyps.

(IV) Prolapse symptoms: When the patient has large rectal polyps or a large number of polyps, gravity will pull on the intestinal mucosa, causing the polyps to gradually separate from the muscle layer, resulting in symptoms such as downward prolapse. The patient's bowel movements and intestinal peristalsis stimulation may also cause rectal prolapse.
