What are the symptoms of female urethritis

Urethritis is a common clinical disease, and female urethritis is also a problem that troubles women. Female urethritis is generally related to infection, and treatment must not only be timely but also require attention to cleanliness and hygiene. The symptoms of female urethritis are relatively obvious, especially abnormal urination.

1. Abnormal urine

Urinary tract infection can cause abnormalities and changes in urine. Common phenomena include pyuria, hematuria, pneumaturia and bacteriuria.

2. Low back pain

The most common symptom clinically is low back pain, and kidney and perirenal diseases are one of the main causes of low back pain. When the renal capsule, renal pelvis, and ureter are irritated or the tension increases, it may cause pain in the lower back. Generally, lower urinary tract infection will not cause lower back pain.

3. Abnormal urination

Common urination abnormalities caused by urinary tract infection include frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Sometimes, urinary incontinence and urinary retention may also occur. Chronic renal failure caused by chronic pyelonephritis is often accompanied by polyuria in the early stages, and oliguria or anuria in the later stages.

4. Decreased immunity

Patients with urethritis often experience fatigue, colds, etc.

5. Symptoms of non-gonococcal urethritis

Symptoms of non-gonococcal urethritis include increased yellow vaginal discharge, burning sensation during urination, stuffy pain in the genitals, lower abdominal distension, cervicitis, and relatively few subjective symptoms, with about 80% being asymptomatic. However, it may be complicated by pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. If infected during pregnancy, the chances of miscarriage, premature birth, and stillbirth are very high.

6. Symptoms of gonococcal urethritis

Increased vaginal discharge, different colors and odors (80% of the patients have no obvious symptoms), may be complicated by fallopian tube obstruction, pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility.
