Symptoms of laryngeal cancer in children

According to reports, childhood tumors are divided into blood system tumors, solid tumors and neuroblastoma, collectively referred to as childhood solid tumors. Due to insufficient awareness, misdiagnosis, lack of early screening mechanisms and medical insurance coverage, the best treatment opportunities for children are always missed, and misdiagnosis and mistreatment often occur.

Solid tumors account for 50% of childhood tumors. Infants under 2 years old are at high risk of childhood tumors, and 80% of cases occur within 5 years of age. Children's Hospital performs more than 300 tumor resections every year.

Unlike adult tumors, childhood tumors are difficult to prevent, so they need to be detected early, with a cure rate of 80%. "Children's malignant tumors are mostly congenital tumors, which are more sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and most child cancer patients do not know much about their condition and do not have mental pressure."

Experts remind that if you find that your child has some symptoms, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. These include fever of unknown cause, ineffective treatment with antibiotics; pale complexion, anemia and bleeding tendency; local lumps, or swollen lymph nodes under the jaw, neck, armpits, and groin; loss of appetite and gradual weight loss;

Enlarged liver and spleen or a mass in the upper abdomen; impaired vision, strabismus or bulging eyeballs; blood tests reveal that the white blood cell count is too high or too low, or is accompanied by a decrease in red blood cell hemoglobin and thrombocytopenia.
