Eight self-examination methods teach you how to detect cancer early

Cancer is a malignant disease caused by gene changes that accumulate to a certain level. It has a long incubation period and is difficult to detect in the early stages. By the time the symptoms become obvious, it is usually in the middle or late stages. Therefore, you should pay more attention to it in normal times and be alert if you have any abnormal symptoms to prevent it before it happens. Many parts of the human body may have cancer-causing risks, so how do we check them?

skin

From head to toe, carefully examine every inch of skin, including the chest, waist, back, buttocks and four skin, to observe whether there are any abnormal changes, such as whether there are changes in the size, color and surface of lesions or scars, whether the wounds and ulcers on the skin have not healed for a long time, whether the skin color of a certain part is very abnormal, pain, numbness, etc.

head

First check whether the face is symmetrical, swollen, and whether the acne has increased or changed. Then check whether the whites of the eyes are yellow or red, whether the eyes are pale and lifeless, and whether the angle of the eyes is normal. Then use your index finger to gently push the tip of your nose upwards to see if there are any changes inside the nostrils, then lightly touch the outside of the nose to see if there is any swelling or abnormality. Finally, use the thumb, index finger and middle finger of both hands to gently pinch the ear to see if there is any pain or lumps.

Oral

First observe the color, opening and closing range of motion, and shape of the lips, then touch to see if there are any lumps. When opening and closing the mouth, touch the facial joints to see if there is tenderness, displacement, or murmur. Then open the mouth to check whether the internal cheek membranes and tooth caries are red, swollen, hardened, thickened, or spotted (especially white spots). Also, stretch, retract and flip the tongue to observe whether there is vibration, asymmetry, difficulty in movement and abnormal color, and whether the surface, tip and edges of the tongue are varicose or swollen.

breast

Women should usually perform a breast examination within a week of their menstrual period (or any other day if they have not had their menstrual period). First, let the breasts sag naturally, observe whether the size, height, shape of the breasts are abnormal, whether the nipples have changed, and gently press the nipples to see if there is any fluid flowing out. Raise both arms again and do the same check. Secondly, lie on your back, place one hand under your head, and use the five fingertips of the other hand to gently press and touch in a clockwise direction from the outside to the inside to check for any lumps, thickening or pain, alternating between the two hands. Pay attention to any abnormalities in the upper lateral and subabdominal lymph nodes.

Abdominal examination

First observe the abdominal shape, texture, color, blood vessels, hair for any abnormal changes, and the navel for any discoloration or secretions. Then lie flat on your back with your knees bent, relax your abdomen, put your fingers together and gently press your abdomen to check for any lumps or pain.

Vagina

Middle-aged and elderly men should frequently touch their groin and penis to see if there are any lumps or other abnormalities, feel the lymph nodes in the fornix, and examine the glans penis. When touching Gaojiu, you can press one side with your index and middle fingers, and the other side with your thumb. Be careful if there are any protrusions or other changes.

Secretions

Observe the color, concentration, odor and whether the sputum contains blood. Then observe whether there are any changes in urine color, flow rate, and urine volume. Secondly, look at the color of the stool, whether there are blood clots, changes in thickness, and hardness, etc.
