Dexamethasone acetate tablets are mainly used for allergic and autoimmune inflammatory diseases. Such as connective tissue diseases, severe bronchial asthma, allergic diseases such as dermatitis, ulcerative colitis, acute leukemia, malignant lymphoma, etc. In addition, this drug is also used in the diagnosis of certain adrenal cortical diseases - the dexamethasone suppression test.

Use by pregnant and lactating women: Use by pregnant women may increase the incidence of placental insufficiency, neonatal weight loss or stillbirth. Animal experiments have shown teratogenic effects, so the pros and cons should be weighed before use. If a nursing mother receives a large dose of the drug, she should not breastfeed to prevent the drug from being excreted through breast milk and causing adverse reactions such as infant growth suppression and adrenal function suppression.

Check the content uniformity of dexamethasone acetate tablets as above: take 1 tablet of this product, put it in a mortar, grind it into powder, add appropriate amount of ethanol, grind it, and transfer it to a 50ml volumetric flask with 40ml of ethanol in batches. Keep it warm in a water bath at 50-60℃ for 10 minutes, and shake it from time to time to dissolve the dexamethasone acetate. Cool it to room temperature, add ethanol to dilute it to the scale, shake it well, filter it, and take the filtrate to measure the absorbance at a wavelength of 240nm by spectrophotometry. Calculate the content according to the absorption coefficient of C24H31FO6 (E1% 1cm) of 357, which should meet the requirements.

In summary, the dosage and usage of dexamethasone acetate tablets is oral, and the starting dose for adults is 0.75-3.00 mg (1-4 tablets) at a time. Note that the toxicity of this product will increase when used in combination with salicylic acid drugs.
