How to preserve fresh maple berries?

Fresh maple berries need to be stored properly. It is generally recommended to be placed in a well-ventilated place with a suitable temperature of five to twenty degrees, or it can be refrigerated, otherwise it will easily sprout. However, it is still recommended to eat it as soon as possible to avoid nutrient loss.

1. Store at room temperature. If stored at room temperature, the main thing to pay attention to is ventilation and temperature. Placing it in a ventilated place is good for keeping the Dendrobium officinale dry. It is better to store it at around 5-20 degrees.

2. Refrigeration - Dendrobium candidum needs to be stored in the refrigerator's fresh-keeping layer. The temperature is generally 3-5 degrees. The preservation effect is better in this temperature range. Although refrigerated fresh Dendrobium officinale strips can be preserved for a longer period of time, don't expect to be able to eat fresh Dendrobium officinale all year round in this way (that's a bit too much to think about). In fact, this is the same principle as when we refrigerate fruits and vegetables. The longer the refrigeration time, the more nutrients the Dendrobium officinale loses, so it is recommended to eat it as soon as possible.

3. The most common problem when storing Dendrobium officinale at room temperature is germination. Fresh Dendrobium officinale is very easy to sprout and even bloom if left naturally, and the nutrients of these new sprouts and flowers come from fresh stems. The growth of buds and flowers continuously consumes the nutrients of fresh stems. Therefore, if sprouts or flowers appear, they should be pinched off in time. However, the method advocated by some people of "preserving fresh Dendrobium officinale strips by inserting them into water" is obviously unscientific. Instead, it speeds up the germination and flowering process.

4. Of course, if a small number of shoots sprout and you are interested in growing Dendrobium officinale, then it is good to keep these new shoots, plant the old cuttings in the substrate, or put a bottle in water, and wait until the shoots grow to about 4 cm long or larger before dividing and planting.
