However, it is possible for people with gout because gout refers to increased purine metabolism, excessive production of its metabolite uric acid, or poor uric acid excretion, which leads to increased uric acid in the blood. Urate crystals are deposited in the soft tissues of the joints, causing painful inflammatory lesions in the joints. Treatment is based on the use of xanthine oxidase inhibitors and a low-purine diet. Royal jelly does not contain much purine.
