What causes back pain and buttock pain?

What causes back pain and buttock pain? In fact, when facing this situation, you must pay attention to understand the cause, because common gynecological diseases, infections or tumors, etc., these adverse diseases can cause symptoms such as low back pain.

1. One is the pain in the fascia and ligaments of the waist muscles. This kind of waist pain is often limited to the muscles of the original injured area, and the farthest extends to the buttocks or thighs. Most of the causes are muscle strain, chronic fatigue causing overuse, muscle stiffness and fibrosis. Muscle pain often manifests as soreness if caused by fatigue, or swelling and pain if caused by strain or bruise. The pain often occurs during or after rest, such as soreness when waking up in the morning or waking up in pain in the middle of the night. Generally speaking, this kind of low back pain can still be felt when standing or walking like a normal person, but it will only occur when sitting for a long time or working excessively.

2. Another type of low back pain is low back and leg pain caused by compression of the spine or spinal nerves. This type of low back pain is mostly caused by the waist pulling on the buttocks, thighs, calves and even toes. It mostly occurs on one side and rarely occurs on both sides at the same time. The pain feels like soreness and cramping in the waist, buttocks and thighs, and pain, weakness or numbness in the calves and feet. The pain mostly occurs after walking or standing for 15 minutes. The patient must find a place to sit or lie down to temporarily relieve the compressed nerve roots. If he can lie down, the symptoms will be quickly relieved. The reason is that the spine is made up of stacked vertebrae, and there is a branch of the spinal nerve extending from each side between two adjacent vertebrae. The intervertebral foramen space has a fixed size. When we stand, due to gravity and the contraction of the erector spinae muscles behind the spine, if the intervertebral foramen becomes smaller due to bone spurs or herniated disc, it will further stimulate the spinal nerves.

3. The nerves in the waist and sacral vertebrae are most susceptible to compression, especially the nerves extending from the lumbar sacral joint (between the fifth lumbar vertebra and the sacral vertebra) are most susceptible to compression, accounting for about 70% of spinal nerve compression. In addition to cramps in the waist and legs, there will be abnormal sensations of numbness of the epidermal nerves in the calf and the outer side of the dorsum of the foot on the affected side, making it difficult for the patient to stand on tiptoe and touch the ground with the heel. If the nerve roots of the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae are compressed, the big toe, second toe and the front part of the tibia will experience abnormal numbness of the epidermis, making it difficult for the patient to raise the heel and stand on tiptoe, accounting for about 25%. Clinically, many patients suffer from spinal nerve compression in both of the above joints. If the nerves between the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae are compressed, the affected side will experience thigh muscle atrophy or numbness of the superficial nerves on the front and inner sides of the thigh. All of the above diagnoses can be compared with the healthy side.
