How to treat sweat stains under the armpits

Pityriasis versicolor is a superficial fungal disease that is closely related to infection. Pityriasis versicolor can occur in many areas, including the armpits. Many people have sweat stains under their armpits and don’t know what to do. In addition to local treatment for pityriasis versicolor, attention should also be paid to dietary adjustments.

1. Pityriasis versicolor, also known as tinea versicolor, can disappear on its own in the cool autumn, but it can also easily leave hypopigmented spots, which may recur in the hotter months of the following year. Chinese medicine bath is very effective in preventing tinea versicolor. Commonly used methods include moxa bath, mint bath, etc. The method is very simple. Just use the above-mentioned Chinese medicine to boil water for bathing once a week. Tinea versicolor is also easy to treat. You can use a loofah to gently wipe off the scales and then apply the medicine. The application area should be a little larger, and can be twice the size of the lesion area. It should generally be applied for 2 to 3 weeks.

2. Although this condition is called pityriasis versicolor in traditional Chinese medicine, current research still shows that it is related to fungal infection, a type of skin disease. If the medication history has included antifungal treatment, you can switch to another antifungal drug or the above-mentioned drugs, use them regularly and long-term, and then see the effect. Fungal infections are very stubborn, so don't expect them to heal in a short time. You can consider going to a TCM dermatology department to seek TCM treatment. As far as I know, it still has great therapeutic advantages, but you must not scratch the spotted area to prevent infection.

3. Pityriasis versicolor is most common on the chest, back, arms and neck, and other areas include the face, abdomen, buttocks, armpits, groin, scalp, occipital area, etc. It often worsens in summer and autumn and eases or disappears in cold seasons. It starts as small spots, and patients are often unaware of it. It gradually becomes a round or quasi-circular macules the size of corn, soybean or broad bean, with clear edges that are level with the skin or slightly raised. Pityriasis versicolor may recur with the change of seasons, so it should be actively treated. You should go to some regular dermatology hospital outpatient clinic for treatment.
