What should I eat if I often have dry eyes?

Dry eyes are an important factor that damages vision. Therefore, preventing dry eyes is an issue that needs to be highly valued in our lives. Non-medicinal eye drops can be used to alleviate the problem of dry eyes, but long-term use of eye drops will disrupt the internal and external balance of the eyes, ultimately leading to vision impairment. Dietary health care methods can avoid these side effects. So, what should you eat if you often have dry eyes?

1. The livers of various animals are the best sources of vitamin A. In addition, plant foods such as carrots, green peppers and various yellow and green vegetables are also good sources of vitamin A. Animal liver is high in cholesterol and should not be consumed in excess. 1 to 2 slices 1 to 2 times a week is sufficient.

2. Supplement B vitamins. B vitamins are also one of the nutritional sources of the optic nerve. If you lack vitamin B1, your eyes will easily become tired. If you lack vitamin B2, it will easily cause keratitis. Animal foods rich in B vitamins include animal offal, pork, eggs, etc.; plant foods include wheat germ, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, black rice, fungi and algae foods, etc.; they are also found in fruits such as tomatoes, grapes, kiwis, and bananas. Excess B vitamins will be excreted from the body, so there is no need to worry about consuming too much.

3. Chrysanthemum and wolfberry are recommended. Chrysanthemum is rich in vitamin A, which can also relieve dry eyes caused by liver fire and excessive eye use. Lycium barbarum is rich in carotene, vitamin A, B1, B2 and other essential nutrients for the eyes. It is recommended to prepare some chrysanthemums and wolfberries in the office or at home, and drink them as tea in appropriate amounts every day, which is very effective in relieving dry eyes and eye fatigue. In addition, you should eat more whole grains, red and green vegetables, appropriate amounts of animal offal, beans, fruits and other foods rich in vitamin A and B vitamins.
