Why do I often have concentrated urine?

Urine is a waste substance excreted from the human body. It is an element that is useless to the body after being filtered out. If it continues to remain in the body, it will affect health. Therefore, urination is a normal physiological phenomenon. Some people have problems with their internal organs that affect urination. For example, why do they often have concentrated urine? Let’s take a look at the simple explanation below.

1. There are two situations in which turbid urine occurs: one is a normal physiological phenomenon, and the other is an external manifestation of disease. When the temperature rises, you sweat a lot, drink less water, urinate less, and eat too much meat or vegetables and fruits, your urine will become alkaline or acidic. At this time, more phosphate, carbonate or urate crystals will precipitate in the urine, making the urine turbid. This is normal and can be restored to normal by improving your lifestyle habits.

2. In many cases, turbid urine is inseparable from some urinary system diseases. According to experimental results, turbid urine is related to chronic prostatitis and urethritis. A typical symptom of chronic prostatitis is white urine (turbid urine like milk), which is clinically called chyluria. If it is urethritis, the turbid urine will be mainly manifested by secretions from the urethral opening, which are mucous at first and then turn into purulent secretions, which seep into the urine and become viscous. The turbid urine caused by cystitis is mainly pyuria, and sometimes hematuria may be present. These three situations are the most common manifestations of turbid urine.

3. The most common reason for turbid urine is that the alkalinity of urine is too high, which causes phosphate crystals to precipitate in the urine and makes the urine turbid. If acid is added to this kind of urine, the white turbidity will disappear, which is the opposite of proteinuria. Drinking a lot of milk after a meal will cause an increase in the phosphate content in our urine, which is also an important cause of turbid urine.
