Pseudomyopia is the most common among children and adolescents. Parents should promptly distinguish whether their children have true myopia or pseudomyopia. They can go to the hospital for an ophthalmology examination. If it is pseudomyopia, timely adjustments should be made and the eyes can be massaged more. 1. The term pseudomyopia is adopted by us from the international community. Myopia is the most common ophthalmic disease and the most important type of refractive error. The formation of distant objects in front of the retina causes blurred vision and myopia symptoms, which is called pseudomyopia. If the pseudomyopia stage is not taken seriously, it will further develop into true myopia. Pseudomyopia is caused by the over-adjustment spasm of the ciliary muscle and its inability to relax. As long as we relax the ciliary muscle and restore the lens, the myopia symptoms will disappear. However, true myopia develops into true myopia due to long-term spasm of the ciliary muscle, which compresses the eyeball and causes the eye axis to elongate. The image of distant objects cannot be formed on the retina of the fundus. 2. How to distinguish pseudomyopia from true myopia? You can do it by going to the ophthalmology department of a hospital for mydriasis and optometry. For pseudomyopia, the myopia will disappear after using mydriasis eye drops to relax the ciliary muscles. On the contrary, for true myopia, the myopia will not disappear after mydriasis. 3. There are several methods for treating pseudomyopia in my country: 1. Acupoint massage therapy, also known as eye exercises, is designed based on the causes of myopia and integrates traditional Chinese acupuncture medicine, meridians, acupoint massage and other methods. The massage mainly involves massaging the Qingming, Zanzhu, Taiyang, Fengchi, Sibai and other acupoints. By massaging the acupoints, the meridians can be dredged, and the Qi and blood can be harmonized, so that the eye accommodation spasm and concentration tension can be relieved, thereby achieving the effect of treating and preventing myopia. 2. Acupuncture therapy is to select acupoints such as Taiyang, Cuanzhu, Chengqi and cooperate with acupoints such as Fengchi and Yiming for acupuncture. Each time, 1-2 main acupoints and auxiliary acupoints are selected, once a day, and a course of treatment is 20-30 days. 3. Electrical stimulation therapy: Select the above acupoints, connect the electrical stimulation therapy device, and perform intermittent or continuous electrical stimulation once a day, each time for 10-15 minutes. One course of treatment is 12 times. 4. Mydriatic drug treatment: The method is to use 1% atropine or 2% homatropine eye drops once a day for three consecutive days. This type of drug can paralyze the ciliary muscle and thus has a significant therapeutic effect on pseudomyopia. 5. Antispasmodic drug treatment: Some people currently advocate the use of 0.25% Shuangxingming eye drops once a day. This type of drug mainly relaxes ciliary muscle spasms, thereby achieving the purpose of treating myopia, but the effect is slow. 6. Fog vision method: It is divided into far fog vision and near fog vision. a. Near fog vision method: use +1.0-+1.5d convex lenses, wear them when reading and writing, which can reduce over-adjustment when looking at close objects. b. Far fog vision method: use a +3.0d convex lens to look into the distance and let the eyes fully relax. |
