The incidence of gastric malignant tumors has been increasing in recent years, and once discovered, many are already in the middle or late stages. This has a great adverse impact on subsequent treatment and prognosis. There are many factors that cause gastric tumors, a large part of which are closely related to irregular diet, long-term recurrence of gastritis and ulcers. So can gastric tumors be cured? Let’s take a look at the dietary therapy for gastric tumors. Symptoms of gastric tumors More than 70% of early gastric tumors may have no symptoms. Some patients may experience upper abdominal discomfort or pain, and the symptoms often worsen after eating. As the disease progresses, the pain becomes more severe and attacks become more frequent, accompanied by loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, warm and acid reflux, and heartburn. 1. More than 80% of patients experience upper abdominal pain. 2. Although one-third of patients do not have obvious digestive system symptoms, they may experience unexplained weight loss, emaciation, and fatigue. 3. About 1/3 of patients experience stomach bloating, upper abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, indigestion, and heartburn. 4. Some patients experience symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, belching or black stools. Can early gastric tumors be cured? As long as early treatment is carried out and a regular hospital is chosen, the cure rate of early gastric tumors is relatively high. Diet therapy for gastric cancer (1) It is advisable to eat more foods that can enhance immunity and resist gastric cancer, such as yam, lentils, coix seed, water chestnut, day lily, shiitake mushrooms, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, kiwi fruit, figs, apples, etc. (2) It is advisable to eat more high-nutrition foods to prevent and treat cachexia, such as black-bone chicken, pigeon, quail, beef, pork, rabbit meat, eggs, duck, fermented black beans, tofu, silver carp, grass carp, etc. (3) Avoid foods that are moldy, contaminated, hard, rough, high in fiber, greasy, sticky, and indigestible. Avoid spicy and irritating foods, such as onions, garlic, ginger, peppers, chili peppers, cinnamon, etc. For patients with early gastric cancer, it mainly depends on whether appropriate treatment is taken in time. Generally speaking, early-stage gastric tumors are small and have not spread or metastasized. The most effective treatment is surgical resection. The 5-year survival rate after resection of early-stage gastric tumors can reach about 80%. After surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine and other treatments can be used for a certain period of time to prevent recurrence. |
