What to do if you have hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse

If hemorrhoids cause rectal prolapse, the impact on the patient is very great. At this time, you must pay attention to the correct response. You can use clean fingers or gauze to hold it and slowly push it into the anus. Do not let it rub against clothes. More importantly, go to the hospital for treatment to avoid local infection and inflammation.

1. Rectal prolapse: The main symptom is prolapse of the rectal mucosa during defecation. In the early stage of the disease, it can be reset by itself after defecation. As the disease worsens, the prolapsed material gradually grows larger and thicker, and may even be dragged out when coughing, walking, or squatting. It is not easy to reset and needs to be put back by hand or rest in bed to be reset. It can cause a feeling of heaviness and distension in the anus, moisture and itching in the anus, and occasionally blood. Rectal prolapse is generally divided into injection therapy and surgical treatment. In general, injection therapy can be chosen, and severe cases require surgical treatment.

2. "Anal prolapse" just as the name suggests means something falls out of the anus. In fact, what most people mean by anal prolapse is just the prolapse of hemorrhoids of stage 2-3 internal hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. The real rectal prolapse is medically called rectal prolapse. It is very important for patients with rectal prolapse to pay attention to their own care and maintenance. If the rectum prolapses out of the anus after defecation, it should be promptly held with clean toilet paper or gauze and slowly put back into the anus. Do not let it rub against clothes to avoid local infection and inflammation.

3. When the prolapsed rectum is inflamed, swollen and painful, you can use detoxification soup for fumigation and washing, or apply gallnut powder, borneol and sesame oil topically. If the rectum prolapses and cannot be put back into the anus, it may cause incarceration, in which case you should immediately rest in bed. You can roast and dry the gallnut and dry and crush the toad grass, then grind 15 grams of each into fine powder, add 3 grams of borneol and 500 grams of vaseline, mix well and apply externally. Try to pull the rectum back into the anus as much as possible and fix the anus with a sling. If self-treatment fails to reduce the incarcerated intestine, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid the serious consequence of necrosis of the incarcerated intestine!
