How to remove burn scars

How to remove burn scars

Burns often occur, so we need to effectively prevent burns in our daily lives. We should also pay attention to the scars left after burns. We can use some topical medications or adopt laser treatment methods.

1. If the burn is not serious, just a slight burn without blisters, it is generally not easy to leave scars. However, if the burn is severe, then leaving burn scars is inevitable. It is usually quite obvious. Most people hope that there is a medicine or a method to make scars disappear when they appear, but there is currently no medicine or surgery that can completely remove scars. Scars can only be improved, the area reduced, and the scars made less obvious.

2. Topical medications: Most people hope there is a magic ointment to remove scars that can make them disappear without a trace. However, since scars are normal connective fibrous tissues that heal wounds, they are inevitably formed and exist at any wound site. Topical ointments applied to the scar area are limited to providing mild therapeutic effects such as moisturizing and softening, reducing inflammation and redness, and fading pigmentation, thereby improving and beautifying the appearance of the scar, but they cannot truly remove the scar. Scar ointments can be classified into general pain-relieving moisturizing creams, anti-scar and anti-inflammatory creams containing steroids, moisturizing and softening creams containing silicone, and melanin-removing ointments used to lighten pigmentation. As for fruit acid used for beauty, it can improve skin quality. In fact, fruit acid, especially at high concentrations (10%), has the property of stimulating the proliferation of dermal collagen, restoring the skin's elasticity and thus flattening the uneven acne scars. However, it must be used continuously for several months to be effective, and it is only limited to shallow scars and has no effect on deeper scars. (Recommended medication: Kangruibao Gel)

3. Laser treatment: There are two types of lasers used in scar treatment: growth scars and sunken scars. Growth scars are enlarged, raised, and often red. To treat growing scars, you can use hemoglobin laser with a wavelength of 585nm or colored light with a wavelength of about 585nm to shrink the capillaries in the scars. Multiple treatments can reduce the size of the scars and the redness. Depressed scars are caused by the reduction and disorder of collagen and elastin under the skin. Acne and pits on the face are the best examples. In the past, the improvement methods were mostly microdermabrasion and fruit acid treatment, but the results were often unsatisfactory. How to remove burn scars? The latest method is to use non-invasive long-wave 1320nm laser or color light to penetrate deep into the dermis to stimulate collagen regeneration and rearrangement, so that the uneven surface of the scar will disappear.
