Spleen and kidney deficiency type: This is the severe and difficult-to-treat stage of the disease, with a long course of illness, characterized by chills, pale complexion, sore waist and knees, intestinal rumbling and diarrhea mostly before dawn, or slippery diarrhea, diarrhea of undigested food, pale tongue with white and slippery coating, and deep, thin and weak pulse. The prescription is Si Shen Wan combined with Lian Li Tang with modifications. Replace dried ginger with roasted ginger, and add black plum, water chestnut, and lindera scabra to warm the intestines. 4. Damp-heat descending type: It is the initial onset and attack of this disease, characterized by fever, abdominal pain, tenesmus, red, white, sticky, frozen or bloody diarrhea, red tongue with yellow greasy coating, and slippery and rapid pulse. The prescription is Baitouweng Decoction combined with Shaoyao Decoction with modifications. If the heat is severe, add honeysuckle and red vine; if the dampness is severe, add Magnolia officinalis and Atractylodes macrocephala. |
