What are the treatment drugs for premature heart beats

Premature beats are actually a common heart disease in our lives, but we have never heard of the name. Premature heart beats are a relatively common arrhythmia, and premature heart beats are the obvious characteristic of this disease. Premature beats can be treated or alleviated by taking some medications.

About drug treatment and side effects:

Arrhythmia medications and their side effects are summarized below:

Metoprolol (Betaloc): Oral

Clinical application: hypertension, coronary heart disease with premature beats, tachycardia

Adverse reactions: insomnia, cold extremities, abdominal distension, constipation, damage to male sexual function, cardiovascular inhibition in high doses

Side effects: You cannot stop taking Betaloc after taking it, as stopping the medication will cause the disease to rebound (just like compressing a spring, the tighter you compress it, the stronger it will bounce). Betaloc also seriously affects male sexual function.

Amiodarone (Cordarone)

Clinical application: Broad-spectrum antiarrhythmic drug, can be used for various ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias.

Adverse reactions: No obvious arrhythmogenic effect, but strong side effects on the liver, lungs, thyroid, and skin.

Adverse reactions are dose-related and include photosensitivity dermatitis, corneal pigmentation, gastrointestinal reactions, and pulmonary fibrosis.

Side effects: Amiodarone's more serious side effects include pulmonary fibrosis and thyroid problems.

Propafenone: (Propafenone) oral, intravenous drip

Clinical application: broad-spectrum antiarrhythmic drugs, supraventricular and ventricular premature beats, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia, chronic atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

Adverse reactions: gastrointestinal reactions; hypotension, atrioventricular block;

Side effects: Propranolol increases mortality.

Cedilan

Clinical applications: For acute and chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation and paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia

Adverse reactions: gastrointestinal reactions, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.
