How to treat low thyroid stimulating hormone more effectively

How to treat low thyroid stimulating hormone more effectively

If the thyroid stimulating hormone is low, you should pay attention to scientific treatment and conditioning. First of all, you should pay attention to appropriate supplementation points and the new policy can better promote the supply of points and the synthesis of thyroid hormones in the body, and also pay attention to supplementing enough protein.

(1) Proper iodine and selenium supplementation ensures adequate iodine supply, which is beneficial to the synthesis of thyroid hormones in the body. Especially for hypothyroidism caused by iodine deficiency, thyroid iodine uptake dysfunction and deiodinase deficiency, iodine supplementation can restore thyroid function to normal. Selenium is a coenzyme of type I deiodinase. Appropriate selenium supplementation is beneficial to the utilization of iodine and the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Patients can supplement their diet with high selenium content such as eggs, animal liver, fish and meat.

(2) Supply sufficient high-quality protein. Patients with hypothyroidism have reduced digestion and absorption functions, and the liver and kidneys' ability to process protein metabolites is also reduced. Therefore, they should supplement with high-quality protein containing essential amino acids, such as milk, eggs, fish, and the like. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, you can eat more warm and nourishing meats such as mutton, beef and dog meat.

(3) Supplement blood-forming substances to correct anemia. People with anemia should supplement with foods rich in iron, vitamin B12 and folic acid, such as animal liver, fresh vegetables, meat, etc.

(4) Limit water and high-fat diet intake. When thyroid levels are low, the kidney's ability to clear water decreases. Therefore, the daily water intake should not be too much to avoid water poisoning. Patients with hypothyroidism often have hyperlipidemia, so they should limit their fat diet. (5) Avoid foods that cause goiter. Common foods that cause goiter include cabbage, radish, kohlrabi, soybeans, peas, peanuts, walnuts, etc.
