What's wrong with my thigh pain? These symptoms appeared

Studies have found that there are many causes of thigh pain, the most common of which are venous wall structure defects, venous valve defects, incorrect posture, pregnancy, etc.; it is also related to a person’s age, and thigh pain is relatively more common in middle-aged and elderly people.

1. Structural defects of the venous wall: Long-term dilation of the veins can cause the valves to atrophy due to disuse, or even gradually degenerate and disappear. If the valve defect precedes varicose veins, then while the valve is damaged, the venous wall will be affected, and venous congestion can also lead to varicose veins or dilation.

2. Venous valve defects: The venous wall is relatively weak and can expand under the action of venous pressure. The expansion of the valvular sinus causes the original venous valve to be unable to close tightly, resulting in relative valve insufficiency and blood backflow. If the valve is poorly developed or missing, it cannot effectively prevent backflow and lead to disease.

3. Incorrect posture: According to a survey, 10% of patients with varicose veins are engaged in occupations that require frequent walking; 30% are engaged in occupations that require frequent sitting; and 60% are engaged in standing and physical work, indicating that inactive standing can cause more serious damage to the veins in the lower limbs.

4. Pregnancy: Currently, about 20% of pregnant women will develop varicose veins during pregnancy. The reason is that the change in estrogen levels in women during pregnancy causes the venous smooth muscle to relax, leading to valvular insufficiency. This phenomenon can be eliminated on its own in some patients after delivery, while some patients will find it difficult to recover without treatment, and the condition may even become more serious.

5. Age: The incidence of primary deep venous valvular insufficiency increases with age, which is the result of the persistent effect of blood gravity on the valve.
