What to do if your scalp is allergic and itchy? Nourishing qi and blood is the key

Currently, the attention paid to the scalp is far less than that paid to the skin. In fact, most urban people have scalp problems, such as dandruff, dandruff and so on. If there is a problem with the hair, many people will focus on conditioning the hair, but in fact, most hair problems are caused by the scalp, so scalp allergies and itching must be dealt with in a timely manner.

1. The health of your scalp

A healthy scalp is slightly green in color. The normal scalp metabolism cycle is 16-25 days, and the number of hair lost per day is 40-100. Compared with other parts of the body, the scalp epidermis keratinizes and renews faster, almost twice as fast as other skin. This also produces a lot of dead cells, which is dandruff, but it is generally invisible to the naked eye. Therefore, people with a lot of dandruff have a very fast metabolism.

2. The Art of Washing Hair

1. Massage your scalp before shampooing

Massaging your scalp can relieve stress and also prevent excessive oiliness on your scalp. The massage should be done on dry hair, using the pads of your fingers. Do not scratch the scalp with your nails. Massage from bottom to top, in a spiral shape. You can also massage it once before going to bed every day. In traditional Chinese medicine, the head is the "meeting place of all yang" and many yang meridians pass through the head. Sleep massage can stretch your yang energy and has a good calming effect.

2. Shampoo also needs to be “checked”

Choose shampoo that suits your scalp type. For dry scalp, choose some shampoos that repair, nourish, moisturize and retain water; for oily scalp, choose some shampoos with oil-control effect; for combination scalp, you can try shampoos with ingredients such as salicylic acid, citrus, chamomile, geranium, etc. The frequency of washing your hair depends on your needs. However, people with mixed scalp should not wash their hair every day. If your hair is oily, you can rinse it with clean water first and then rinse it with shampoo the next day, or pour toner containing the above ingredients on a cotton pad, scrub and massage your scalp instead of washing your hair.

3. What to do if your scalp is allergic and itchy

1. Qi and blood need to be replenished

Although the liver and kidneys are located lower in the body, they directly affect the qi and blood in our head. Friends who are troubled by dandruff often have it caused by the internal inflammation of the virtual fire. The liver and kidneys are insufficient in qi and blood, unable to control the inflammation of the virtual fire, so they have to let it dissipate essence and blood on the head. Gradually, the scalp is not moisturized, so it has to accelerate its own metabolic process, so the dead scalp cells double, turning into dandruff.

Therefore, in life and work, do not overwork, do not stay up late, and leave room for your body. If your Qi and blood are really depleted and you often feel powerless, you can use Chinese medicine such as ginseng, angelica, Polygonum multiflorum, and black sesame to recuperate, and drink it instead of tea or put it in food; or massage the Taixi point (located in the depression between the inner ankle and heel bone of the foot) for about 15 minutes every day. Medicine and food can nourish the qi and blood in the meridians, and combined with meditation to nourish the mind, the rising false heat can be slowly brought back under control.

2. Qi and blood need to be balanced

The human body is a complex system, and the most important thing for it to function properly is balance. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, the human body has at least two mechanisms for balance, one is the spleen and stomach, the other is the liver and gallbladder. Therefore, when there is a problem with Qi and blood, these two pairs of organs are often the ones that cause trouble. The spleen and stomach are the foundation of your acquired constitution. They can transform what you eat into Qi and blood and transport them throughout your body. If there is a problem with your spleen and stomach, sorry, what you eat may turn into phlegm and dampness. The liver and gallbladder respond to the Shaoyang spring energy and are responsible for regulating the flow of qi and blood. A bad mood can easily lead to liver depression, and when the liver is depressed, the flow of qi and blood is not smooth, which can easily lead to blood stasis. Phlegm, dampness and blood stasis can travel everywhere, and when they reach the scalp, unfortunately, the skin will not get enough nourishment. People with phlegm and dampness are more likely to have oily hair, gain weight easily, feel sleepy easily, have fatter tongue and thicker tongue coating. People with blood stasis are more likely to have itchy heads, dry skin, darker complexions, and bruises or spots on the tongue.
