What medicine should I use on burns and how to deal with bubbles

Burns need to be treated with caution. If it is only a minor burn, usually cold water can be used for emergency treatment. However, if the skin is relatively delicate or the burn area is large, then it is necessary to apply ointment that helps relieve the symptoms of burns. It is recommended that you choose regular ointment for treating burns, and do not trust folk remedies and apply so-called toothpaste and soy sauce.

1. What medicine should be applied to burns?

1. After being scalded by boiling water, if you don’t know the extent of the scald, if it is just redness or blisters, it is a first-degree or shallow second-degree scald, which can be treated with external application of medicine.

2. If it is only first degree, without blisters, and with local redness and pain, rinse with cold water and then apply Jingwanhong, chloramphenicol eye ointment, or erythromycin eye ointment.

3. If it is a shallow second-degree burn, you should go to the hospital for disinfection, suction the blisters, do not peel off the blister skin, and then use lithospermum oil or moist burn ointment for external use

4. If it is a deep second or third degree burn, you cannot treat it yourself and should go to the burn department for systematic treatment.

2. How to deal with burns and blisters

①. First, you need to prick the blisters. For small blisters, prick them at a low position with a sterilized needle to drain the water. For large blisters, cut an opening with sterilized scissors to drain the water. After the blister is broken, do not cut off the blister skin, let alone tear it off with your hands. The blister skin can protect the wound surface and prevent the wound from being infected and inflamed by bacteria.

② After the blisters are broken, apply "burn ointment" on the burns. If you use external medicine, you can also apply balm or aloe vera juice evenly on the wound. Try not to bandage the wound after applying external medicine. If you must bandage it, you can use clean gauze. Don't wrap it too thick or too tight, and pay attention to ventilation, otherwise it will affect the wound healing time;

③. Do not get the wound wet before it heals, and keep the wound dry;

④. Avoid spicy food, seafood and other irritating foods, and eat light food;

⑤. If the injured area is large and the patient has a fever, please go to the hospital in time to avoid delaying the condition.
