How to effectively treat gonococcal urethritis

The treatment of candidal urethritis must, of course, be carried out scientifically. During the acute period, patients are advised to avoid sexual intercourse to avoid worsening of symptoms. If systemic medications are ineffective for long-term and recurrent attacks, patients should consider local urethral medications.

1. Urethritis is often caused by obstruction at the urethral orifice or within the urethra, such as phimosis, posterior urethral valve, urethral stenosis, or urethral stones and tumors, or by inflammation of adjacent organs spreading to the urethra, such as seminal vesiculitis, vaginitis, and cervicitis. Urethritis can sometimes be caused by mechanical or chemical stimulation, such as instrumental examination and indwelling catheter.

2. During the acute period, sexual intercourse should be avoided, otherwise it will prolong the course of the disease. During the chronic stage, if there is stricture at the external urethral orifice or inside the urethra, urethral dilation or urethral opening splitting should be performed. For patients with chronic posterior urethritis who have long-term recurring attacks and are not effectively responded to systemic medications, local urethral medications may be considered.

3. If the patient has urinary tract irritation symptoms and conventional antibacterial treatment is ineffective, and there are no complex factors, mycoplasma, chlamydia or viral infection should be considered, and tetracycline can be used for treatment first. If there is resistance to tetracycline, erythromycin, methyl erythromycin or roxithromycin can be used instead. The above drugs are effective against mycoplasma and chlamydia. If the above treatments are still ineffective, it may be acute urethral syndrome.

4. The main symptom of urethritis in male patients is a lot of urethral secretions, which are mucous at first and gradually become purulent. Urethral secretions are rare in female patients. Both men and women experience burning pain in the urethra, frequent urination, and urgency when urinating. In severe cases, urethral spasm may occur. Urine examination showed pus cells and red blood cells. In chronic urethritis, urethral secretions gradually decrease, or only a small amount of serous secretions can be seen at the urethral opening during the first urination in the early morning. The urination irritation symptoms are no longer as obvious as in the acute phase, and some patients may be asymptomatic.

5. Patients with urethritis can be treated with Chinese herbal diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills. On the one hand, Chinese medicine is derived from nature, and the herbs in the formula can be taken safely after being reasonably combined without worrying about the side effects of the drugs. On the other hand, its effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and diuresis and drainage can effectively clear inflammation of the urinary and reproductive tracts, and eliminate swelling and edema of the reproductive organs. In addition, its anti-proliferative and anti-fibrotic effects can effectively inhibit the proliferation of residual lesions and prevent their recurrence, and can be used as a postoperative consolidation medication.
