Will frequent sun exposure cause skin cancer?

Many people like to go to the beach and sunbathe, but we should also pay attention because there is a lot of evidence that frequent exposure to ultraviolet rays will interact with the body's melanoma protection and immune function, and there is a great connection with the occurrence of skin cancer.

1. There is currently a lot of evidence showing that frequent exposure to ultraviolet rays, the interaction between the body's melanin protection and the immune system function are closely related to the occurrence of skin cancer. When measuring human skin in sunlight, the parts of the skin that receive the greatest amount of ultraviolet rays are the head, face, back of the neck, and hands, and squamous cell carcinoma almost all occurs in these parts.

2. If a person has been sunburned many times in his life, the degree of these multiple sunburns and years of sunburn will accumulate together, causing skin damage and may cause many skin diseases, such as solar keratosis. Therefore, people with a genetic background for skin diseases should avoid light and sun protection in the summer, because the chance of such people developing solar skin cancer, such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, etc., is much higher than those without a genetic background.

3. In the hot summer, frequent exposure to strong sunlight will not only cause heatstroke, but also cause sunburn and lead to skin diseases. Therefore, experts remind that you need to pay attention to the time period and duration when sunbathing. Sunburn refers to a phototoxic reaction caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays in a short period of time. In mild cases, the exposed skin becomes red and swollen, while in severe cases, blisters appear. The more sunburns you get, the more severe the damage. Generally speaking, human cells will repair themselves after being damaged. If there is no natural repair or the natural repair ability is weak, if human cells mutate, it is possible to develop skin cancer, which is especially likely to occur in the elderly. People with hereditary skin diseases are more likely to get skin cancer after repeated sunburn.

4. Recently, scientists from the United States and Australia announced four occupations that were assessed to be most likely to cause cancer, especially skin cancer.

American scientists from the Sydney School of Medical Sciences published the findings after a long-term study. Through quantitative standard inspections and investigations, scientists found that drivers, farmers, manufacturing plant workers and salesmen in the market have much higher numbers of tumor cells in their bodies than people in other occupations due to long-term exposure to the outdoors or certain radiation.

5. According to experts, as far as skin cancer is concerned, long-term exposure to solar radiation is more likely to cause cancer. Statistics show that 30% of men and 8% of women in Australia are exposed to solar radiation for a long time.

6. Long-term exposure to solar radiation at work will increase the probability of cancer. Scientists say that this environment can also cause neurasthenia, lack of sleep, long-term smoking and alcohol addiction and other adverse reactions, and even change human genetic genes. Therefore, to prevent skin cancer, you need to avoid excessive exposure to the sun.
