What are the methods for cleaning pig small intestines

Many people like to eat pig small intestines, but some attention should be paid to the cleaning methods of pig small intestines. Only by cleaning them thoroughly can we avoid the effects of some bacteria and viruses on the human body. The following are the correct steps for cleaning pig small intestines.

1. First rinse the outer wall of the small intestine, then use chopsticks to turn the small intestine over with the inner wall facing outwards (when turning it over, separate the unturned and turned parts, otherwise the dirt will stick to the outer wall), then put coarse salt, sweet potato starch, and vinegar in it (choose coarse salt because large grains of salt can be used as sand), then keep and repeatedly grab and rub it to wash. When the sticky substances on the inner wall of the small intestine have been rubbed off by the coarse salt, pour in warm water to wash it clean. After taking it out, add some alkali, which is edible alkali, rub it repeatedly, wash it with warm water several times, and then take it out and it's done. After these two times of adding ingredients and scrubbing, it is guaranteed that there is no odor at all.

2. Or rinse the outer wall of the small intestine, turn the small intestine over with chopsticks, with the inner wall facing outwards, pour some cooking oil, and rub it repeatedly. When the sticky substance on the inner wall of the small intestine falls off by itself, pour in clean water to wash it clean, let the water drip dry, then add salt, a small spoonful of vinegar and a small spoonful of wine (our common cooking wine) and rub it repeatedly. Rub evenly and rinse with clean water. Take it out, let the water drip off, put it in a basin, boil a pot of water, soak the small intestine in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then take it out and wash it clean. That's it.

3. Put the purchased pig intestines in the refrigerator for a while, then take them out and remove large pieces of visible fat. Use a chopstick to hold one end of the pig intestine, then put the pig intestine on the chopstick until the other end passes through the chopstick, turn the small intestine over, then use warm water to wash the turned pig intestine and take it out. Add a tablespoon of sweet potato starch (or flour), an appropriate amount of vinegar, and a tablespoon of salt. Rub it thoroughly with your hands, and then rinse with warm water. This way, the dirt and mucus on the small intestine can be removed completely.
