Food poisoning emergency plan How to deal with food poisoning

Food poisoning is a common condition in daily life, especially in the season when beans are ripe, when food poisoning is even more frequent. So what methods should be used for emergency treatment when food poisoning occurs in the human body? Most people don't really understand this. In fact, there are three emergency response plans for food poisoning in the human body. The first is to use vomiting to treat it.

1. Treatment with vomiting

If the patient is found to be poisoned within 1-2 hours after eating a certain food, vomiting can be used for treatment: ① Dissolve 20 grams of salt in 200 milliliters of warm water and let the patient drink 200 milliliters of salt water at one time. If the patient does not vomit, let him drink more times; ② Mash 100 grams of fresh ginger into juice, pour the ginger juice into 200 ml of warm water, and let the patient drink the ginger juice at one time. If the patient does not vomit, you can let him drink a few more times. In addition, you can use chopsticks or fingers to stimulate the patient's throat to induce vomiting.

2. Treatment with catharsis

If the patient has eaten the poisoned food for more than 2-3 hours and his mental state is relatively good, the catharsis method can be used for treatment: ① decoct 30 grams of rhubarb in water and let the patient drink the liquid all at once (this method cannot be used for the elderly and weak); ② brew 20 grams of alum with boiling water and let the patient drink it all at once; ③ decoct 15 grams of senna leaves in water or brew it with boiling water and let the patient drink it.

3. Treatment with detoxification

If the patient is poisoned by eating spoiled fish, shrimp, crab and other foods, the following methods can be used for detoxification: ① Dilute 100 ml of vinegar with 200 ml of cold boiled water, and let the patient take it all at once; ② Boil 30 grams of perilla and 10 grams of raw licorice in water, and let the patient drink it all at once. If the patient is poisoned by a spoiled drink, the poison can be detoxified by taking fresh milk or other protein-containing drinks.

It is worth noting that after patients with food poisoning use the above methods for emergency treatment, it is best to go to the hospital for examination again. Especially those who are severely poisoned should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

Further reading: Bacterial food poisoning

Food poisoning is caused by people eating food containing large amounts of live bacteria or bacterial toxins. It is the most common type of food poisoning. This type of food poisoning has the following three characteristics:

(1) People with reduced resistance: such as the sick, the elderly and children are prone to bacterial food poisoning, with a higher incidence rate and more severe acute gastrointestinal inflammation, but the mortality rate of this type of food poisoning is low and the recovery is good.

(ii) Usually has obvious seasonality: it often occurs in hot seasons, usually most frequently from May to October. On the one hand, the higher temperature creates favorable conditions for bacterial reproduction; on the other hand, the human body's defense capabilities are reduced and susceptibility increases during this period, so bacterial food poisoning often occurs.

(3) Foods that cause bacterial food poisoning: mainly animal foods, such as meat, fish, milk and eggs; a few are plant foods, such as leftover rice, glutinous rice cakes, fermented noodles, etc.
