Small pimples at the end of the eye after buried suture eyelid surgery

Compared with other plastic surgeries, double eyelid surgery does not require open surgery, so it can be considered a minimally invasive surgery. If you are not satisfied with your eyes, you can have double eyelid surgery as soon as possible. There are two main options for double eyelid surgery: buried suture double eyelid surgery and surgical double eyelid surgery. But after the buried suture double eyelid surgery, I found a small pimple at the end of my eye. What's going on?

How to eliminate the protrusion of the thread ends of buried thread? The thread knots at the buried thread site are generally not exposed, and they are easy to fall off if exposed, so you need to go to the hospital where the thread is buried for correction. Pay attention to local hygiene, do not irritate the affected area, go to the hospital for examination and correction to avoid falling off.

His failures are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1. If the double eyelid effect is not very obvious, such as asymmetry of the two eyes, too wide or unclear double eyelids, etc., the buried suture double eyelid should be removed for repair;

2. The double eyelids disappear after surgery. After the buried suture double eyelid surgery, the double eyelids disappear after a period of time and need to be repaired. At this time, the buried suture double eyelids need to be removed;

3. Cysts appear at the operated site after surgery. Cysts appear at the operated site after buried suture double eyelid surgery. This is usually because the sutures were not buried properly during the operation, resulting in nodules under the skin. If the cyst is severe, the thread implants will need to be removed to reduce the swelling.

Things to know after surgery:

1. Postoperative pressure bandage: After the operation, the upper eyelid will be covered with a gauze strip. The doctor will ask you to wait for half an hour before leaving. The purpose is to prevent bleeding. Come to the hospital on the second day after the operation to remove the gauze from the eye. Do not remove it by yourself, because the blood stains and gauze of the incision are often stuck together, and forcibly tearing it off will tear the eye wound.

2. Precautions for double eyelid surgery also include not getting the incision wet before removing the stitches after surgery, applying erythromycin eye ointment on the incision once a day with a sterile cotton swab, wearing sunglasses when going out to avoid sunlight irritation to the wound and prevent scar proliferation. Patients with enlarged canthus should use antibiotic eye drops in the corners of the eyes several times a day. When there is secretion from the corners of the eyes, use a sterile cotton swab dipped in eye drops and gently wipe away the secretion from the corners of the eyes.

3. There will be some pain in the wound on the day of operation, but it will gradually ease over time. Patients should not rush to take painkillers, because aspirin-like drugs will aggravate wound bleeding. Avoiding the abuse of drugs is a particularly important point in the precautions for double eyelid surgery.

4. For patients who have undergone blepharoplasty, the stitches should be removed 5 to 7 days after the operation. Sometimes after the stitches are removed, there will be tiny thread ends left in the wound. Over time, the thread ends will slowly push out or be absorbed by themselves.
