The general public, especially young people, generally take common dizziness and headache problems lightly and do not take them seriously, let alone associate them with arteriosclerosis. However, these inadvertent small signals are often warning signs of serious illness. When our bodies often show the following five signals, you should take them seriously even if you are still young. Arteriosclerosis is a relatively common medical disease that is extremely harmful to vital target organs such as the heart, brain, and kidneys. If we can recognize certain signs of arteriosclerosis earlier and strengthen self-protection and monitoring, we can achieve twice the result with half the effort in treating arteriosclerosis. Early symptoms of arteriosclerosis When arteriosclerosis occurs in the body, there will be 5 early symptoms: 1. Dizziness and headache Some dizziness is transient, often occurring when suddenly squatting or standing up, while some is persistent. A general headache is not a big deal and will go away after a bit of rest. However, if headaches occur for a long time, it may be a symptom of arteriosclerosis. It is best to go to the hospital for a physical examination. 2. Irritability, palpitations, insomnia If you feel irritated for no reason, you may think that you are in a bad mood, so you won’t take it too seriously. In fact, irritability may also be a precursor to arteriosclerosis. This is related to cerebral cortex dysfunction and autonomic nervous system dysfunction. 3. Inner ear reaction When arteriosclerosis causes ischemia, it will quickly cause inner ear reactions, such as tinnitus, deafness, or dizziness. This is because the inner ear, like brain tissue, cannot tolerate hypoxia and is more sensitive to hypoxia than the myocardium. 4. Memory loss Early arteriosclerosis can cause a person to lose concentration, have reduced working ability, find work and study very strenuous, and suffer rapid memory loss, with people unable to recall events, but the memory loss is not very obvious. 5. Sleep disorders Early stage arteriosclerosis may cause insomnia, difficulty falling asleep, frequent dreams, easy awakening, night sweats, etc., and there will be significant changes in emotions and behaviors. In addition, arteriosclerosis can cause lesions due to different involvement of brain tissues, making the disease more diverse. People at high risk of arteriosclerosis The incidence rate in men is higher than that in women over 45 years old; people with dyslipidemia; patients with hypertension, diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome; people with a family history of arteriosclerosis; people who smoke, drink heavily and are under mental stress; people whose diet lacks vegetables and fruits and has a high-fat diet; people with abdominal obesity and lack of exercise. |
