What is rosacea and how is it caused?

Many people may not know much about some skin diseases. They think that only skin diseases that grow on a certain part of the body are called skin diseases. In fact, rosacea is also a chronic skin disease. Many people in life are troubled by this condition. It not only affects the health of the body, but also has a great impact on the psychology. So what is rosacea? What is the reason causing this? The following is a relevant introduction for you.

Rosacea, also known as rosacea, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by erythema and telangiectasia that occurs primarily in the central part of the face. It is more common in middle-aged people aged 30 to 50, especially in women. The cause is not yet fully understood. It may be due to the action of various harmful factors inside and outside the body on the basis of sebum secretion, which causes the vasomotor nerve dysfunction and long-term dilation of capillaries in the affected area. Trichocystis and repeated local infection are important factors for the onset of the disease. Alcoholism, smoking, spicy diet, gastrointestinal dysfunction, endocrine dysfunction (especially during menopause), mental factors, lesion infection, and long-term exposure to hot and cold factors on the skin such as high-temperature work, sun exposure, cold, wind, etc. can all induce and aggravate this disease. What are the specific causes of rosacea?

1. Mite infection. Medically, it is generally believed that the formation of rosacea is related to infection with Demodex mites and Helicobacter pylori. The main culprit of the disease is parasitic mites. Mites usually live on the human face, especially in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands of the nose. They may also live on animals such as cats and dogs. Therefore, if the animals are not cleaned properly, rosacea may also form.

2. Family inheritance. The onset of rosacea is also related to family genetic history. Common causes of rosacea include excessive sebum secretion, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and chronic infection lesions in the body. Then the skin is damaged on the cheeks, nose, between the eyebrows and chin. After erythema appears on the nose and cheeks, papules gradually appear, and the capillaries continue to expand, forming a spider web-like shape, crisscrossing and eventually forming rosacea.

3. Bad living habits. People who have some bad living habits, especially those who are addicted to drinking, smoking, and eating spicy and irritating foods, are particularly likely to suffer from rosacea. Rosacea can develop at any age. Most women are prone to the disease between the ages of 30 and 50, while men develop the disease earlier and their symptoms are more severe.
