How to treat moderate fatty liver better

Patients with toxic fatty liver need to make scientific arrangements for their diet in their lives, because liver diseases require time to recuperate, otherwise it is easy to cause more harm to health. There will be a detailed introduction to the treatment of moderate fatty liver below.

1. Control calorie intake. The calorie supply for patients with fatty liver should not be too high. 529-617 kcal of calories can be supplied per kilogram of body weight per day to prevent obesity and fatty liver. For obese or overweight people, 353-440 kcal of calories can be supplied per kilogram of body weight to control or lose weight.

2. Appropriately increase the intake of high-quality protein, such as milk, fish, etc., which is beneficial to the repair and regeneration of liver cells; it can also correct hypoproteinemia and prevent further damage to liver cells.

3. Reduce sugar and sweets. Sugar is mainly supplied by grains. Except for the natural sugars contained in vegetables and fruits, do not eat refined sugars, honey, juice, candied fruits and other sweets or desserts, because too much sugar will be converted into fat, leading to obesity and aggravating fatty liver.

4. Control fat intake. For patients with moderate fatty liver, the total amount of fat provided by food and cooking oil throughout the day should not exceed 40g, and appropriate control should be exercised over the intake of foods high in cholesterol.

5. Supplement vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. Supplement various vitamins and minerals that are important for the treatment of liver disease, especially foods and preparations rich in folic acid, choline, inositol, niacin, vitamin E, vitamin C, potassium, zinc and magnesium, to promote and maintain normal metabolism, correct or prevent nutritional deficiencies. For patients with obvious liver dysfunction, ascites or edema, sodium salt intake should be limited.

6. Take in enough dietary fiber. The diet should not be too refined. The staple food should be a combination of coarse and fine grains. Eat more vegetables, fruits and algae to ensure sufficient intake of dietary fiber. It can not only increase the supply of vitamins and minerals, but also facilitate the excretion of metabolic waste. It has a good effect on regulating blood lipid and blood sugar levels.
