Ascites is also a common disease in the liver. If it is not treated in time or the condition worsens, it may be life-threatening. Ascites is also a symptom of liver cirrhosis. Generally, when this disease reaches the late stage, the symptoms are very severe and painful. 1. Pain in the liver area: Patients with liver disease will usually experience pain in the liver if the condition is very serious, especially when the cancer spreads. Most patients with mid- to late-stage liver cancer experience pain in the liver area as the first symptom. The pain is mostly located in the right rib or under the xiphoid process. The nature of the pain is mostly intermittent or continuous dull pain, dull pain or stabbing pain. The pain may be mild or severe, and may also relieve itself in the short term. However, before the pain in the liver area, the patient may have obvious symptoms of discomfort in the right upper abdomen, which is a symptom of death from advanced liver cancer. 2. Fever: Because the patient's physiological functions cannot function normally, long-term fever occurs, and fever will lead to a decrease in the body's immunity. Sweating and fever are common symptoms before death in the late stage of liver cancer, and most of them are low to moderate fever, but a small number of patients may have high fever, above 39°C, but generally not accompanied by chills. 3. Digestive tract symptoms: Patients with liver cancer often have poor digestion and absorption functions, so they may experience some advanced liver cancer pre-death symptoms. Loss of appetite, belching, indigestion, nausea, and upper abdominal fullness after meals are common digestive tract symptoms of advanced liver cancer, among which loss of appetite and abdominal distension are the most common. 4. Weight loss and fatigue: Weight loss and fatigue are also symptoms of death in the late stage of liver cancer, and the symptoms of fatigue and weight loss are often more obvious than those in other cancer patients. For most patients, weight loss may become more severe as the disease progresses, and cachexia may be detected in severe cases. 5. Difficulty breathing: It is a symptom that is difficult to deal with for patients with advanced cancer. Severe difficulty breathing can easily cause fear, and fear itself makes difficulty breathing even more severe. If it is not dealt with immediately, it can easily cause shock and death. Central necrosis of liver cancer can cause fever in cold-heat type liver cancer, and patients with advanced liver cancer may have irregular moderate fever. 6. Bleeding tendency: Patients with advanced liver cancer, especially those with cirrhosis, often have bleeding tendencies such as gingival bleeding and subcutaneous ecchymosis. In severe cases, gastrointestinal bleeding may occur, which is life-threatening. |
