How is antisocial personality formed

The formation of antisocial personality may be related to genetic factors. Foster children with pathological personality have a higher incidence of pathological personality compared with the normal control group. Brain maldevelopment, or family and social environment may also be related to it.

1. Genetics

The incidence of this disease among relatives is positively correlated with the blood relationship, that is, the closer the blood relationship, the higher the incidence. Data show that the patient's parents have a higher rate of abnormal EEGs; monozygotic twins have a higher rate of personality consistency, very similar EEGs, and a higher crime rate than dizygotic twins. Foster children with psychopathic personality have a higher incidence of psychopathic personality compared with the normal control group.

2. Poor brain development

Electroencephalogram examinations have confirmed that patients with this personality type have immature brains and may have suffered brain damage.
