What is the best way to whiten fluorosis teeth

Dental fluorosis is generally a regional disease, mainly because patients are overly exposed to fluoride in their daily lives, which will lead to the occurrence of dental fluorosis. Dental fluorosis will have a great impact on the appearance of teeth. If you want to whiten dental fluorosis, you can also use several methods.

The decolorization method can be tried for those without enamel defects.

(1) Clean the tooth surface with the external bleaching method, apply vaseline to the caries edge, and apply the absorbent paper soaked in 30% hydrogen peroxide solution to the labial surface of the front teeth, leaving a small distance from the caries edge. Irradiate with infrared or incandescent lamp for 10 minutes; the treatment course is 5 to 8 times. Gel bleaching can also be used.

(2) Internal decolorization method: After routine pulpectomy, the root canal filling is lowered to 2 to 3 mm below the neck, and the pulp chamber is sealed with 30% hydrogen peroxide solution or a paste made of 30% hydrogen peroxide solution and sodium borate for decolorization. Change the dressing once every 3 days, for a total of 4 to 6 times. When the color is satisfactory, the cavity is filled with composite resin.

Whitening Technology

The small molecules in the oxidant hydrogen peroxide penetrate through the enamel and dentin to all parts of the tooth, move between the enamel columns, and decompose and remove the pigment molecules that discolor the teeth.

Cold light whitening

The whitening effect is achieved by applying the whitening drug on the surface of the teeth to penetrate into the tooth tissue, and then solidifying the whitening agent through special cold light irradiation. This method is convenient and effective, and the entire treatment process only takes about 30 minutes. Generally, it is more effective for mild and moderate dental fluorosis.

Dental veneer restoration

It is to stick a layer of material close to the normal tooth color on the surface of fluorosis to cover the color of the teeth. It has the advantages of beautiful color, good transparency, wear resistance and good biocompatibility. It has obvious whitening effect no matter what degree of fluorosis. The popular dental veneers nowadays are generally divided into two types: resin veneers and porcelain veneers.
