Diagnostic tests

1. Pay attention to the medical history for severe burn shock, severe infection, excessive and rapid infusion, severe inhalation injury and post-burn respiratory failure, and misuse of vasoconstrictor drugs.

2. Perform routine examinations according to general heart failure and distinguish between left heart failure, right heart failure or total heart failure based on clinical symptoms and examination results.

3. Due to the complexity of burns and chest eschar, the accuracy of chest examination is affected. The symptoms are often confused with the burn itself, shock and infection. For patients with severe burns, especially those in shock, cardiac monitoring should be strengthened to avoid missed diagnosis or misdiagnosis.
