What causes painful urination? Is it a disease?

The phenomenon of painful urination is mostly caused by disease factors. Of course, girls’ private parts are more fragile. If they are allergic to things like soap, vaginal cleansers, toilet paper, etc., painful urination will also occur.

1. When women are allergic to soap, vaginal cleansers, toilet paper, lubricants, contraceptive sponges or foams, it may also cause urinary tract irritation and symptoms of painful urination.

2. Women's urinary pain is related to their physiological characteristics. Because the female urethra is adjacent to the vagina and anus, bacteria can easily enter the urethra, especially after sexual intercourse. "Honeymoon cystitis" is related to this.

3. There is a layer of mucus on the surface of the female urethra, which can protect the urethra from bacterial invasion under normal circumstances. However, this defense function may become abnormal due to congenital defects or acquired changes, making vaginal or urinary tract infections more likely to occur. These changes include tumors, urinary stones, cystocele, use of contraceptive spermicides, abuse of antibiotics, lack of estrogen during menopause, and the effects of urinary tract instrument surgery.

The patient's vulva often feels burning when urinating, and in severe cases, the pain may feel like a knife cutting. It is a common clinical symptom. There are many reasons for female urinary pain, but the most common cause is urinary tract infection including endocervicitis, urethritis and candidal vaginitis.

1. Endocervical Endometritis: Endocervical Endometritis in women causes congestion and edema of the cervix, easy bleeding when touched, increased yellow mucus and purulent secretions, and lower abdominal discomfort. These parts are closely related to the urethra and are factors that cause urinary pain.

2. Urethritis: Since the female urethra is shorter than the male urethra and is adjacent to the vagina, bacteria can easily flow upstream. It directly affects urination, and its inflammatory bacteria can spread in the urethra, which is one of the main factors causing urinary pain.

3. Vaginitis: What causes painful urination in women? The prominent symptoms are increased vaginal discharge and severe itching of the vulva and vagina, severe edema of the vaginal membrane, and the adhesion of white flaky films that are easy to peel off. In addition, the eroded base of the damaged mucosa or the formation of shallow ulcers can irritate the urethra and cause urinary pain.
