Why does it cause headache when I lower my head? People who are addicted to their phones should be careful!

Many people will experience headaches when they lower their heads. This is mostly due to pathological stimulation, compression or head injury. But no matter what the reason is, everyone should seek treatment as soon as possible.

(l) The lesion stimulates, compresses or damages the first, second or third cervical nerves, causing headaches, especially in the occipital region. The pain may also radiate to the head through the reflex action of the trigeminal nucleus in the medulla oblongata or spinal cord.

(2) Patients with vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis experience headaches because the lesions directly affect the vertebral artery, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the vertebral basilar artery system.

(3) Because cervical spondylosis affects the neck muscles, it causes persistent spasmodic contraction of the neck muscles, leading to blood circulation disorders in the muscles, which can release pathogenic substances such as lactic acid, 5-hydroxytryptamine, and bradykinin, causing headaches.

(4) The lesion may stimulate or compress the sympathetic plexus around the vertebral artery or other sympathetic nerves in the neck, causing vertebral basilar artery system or intracranial and extracranial arterial dilation disorder and resulting in headache.

(5) Cervical spondylosis directly stimulates, compresses or pulls the headache-sensitive tissues in the head, causing headaches.

People who are addicted to their phones and suffer from headaches caused by cervical spondylosis should seek timely treatment to avoid the condition from worsening and causing indelible damage to their bodies. After years of research and clinical practice, Director Zhao of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Shenzhen Jingtian Hospital has innovated a "Zhao Therapy", which treats patients according to the individual and the disease, achieving individualized and differentiated treatment. Generally, patients can be clinically cured after 2-3 weeks of treatment, and the long-term cure rate is 84.5%.
