Causes of flat warts, HPV virus infection

There are many reasons for the formation of flat warts, the most common of which is HPV virus infection. The contagiousness of flat warts is very high. You must develop good habits to avoid skin damage and flat warts infection. Do not scratch flat warts with your hands.

1. Flat warts are benign growths on the epidermis caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). The virus is mainly transmitted by direct contact, and can also be transmitted indirectly through contaminated objects that infect and damage the skin. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is mostly caused by loose skin pores, wind-heat toxins invading the body, or liver deficiency and blood dryness, poor tendons and qi, and heat toxins accumulating in the skin. Flat warts are not only unsightly but also contagious. Once the body's resistance is reduced due to colds, fever, mental trauma, overwork, menstruation or endocrine disorders, the wart virus lurking in the body may suddenly break out and cause more warts and rashes.

2. Due to its strong infectiousness, it often occurs in dense groups or scattered in multiple places. Especially due to scratching, it will be distributed in strips along the scratches. It often occurs on the face, especially the forehead and limbs, and generally there are no subjective symptoms.

3. Because flat warts contain a large number of active viruses, when the area is scratched, the surface of the wart and the normal skin may be slightly damaged. At this time, the virus can easily be inoculated into the normal skin and produce new warts. Similarly, flat warts can also transmit the wart virus to others through this route.

4. Flat warts are mainly transmitted through direct contact, but can also be transmitted indirectly through contaminants such as needles, brushes, towels, etc. In addition, trauma is also an important factor causing infection. It is common to see flat warts arranged in cords along scratches. This is an example of trauma causing infection. In addition, people with low immunity are more susceptible to flat warts than normal people.

Warm reminder: Flat warts (smooth, flat, yellowish-brown papules) mostly occur in children and young people, often on the face and autologously inoculate along scratches.
