How to clean a stainless steel stove

How to clean a stainless steel stove

The stove is used by people when cooking every day. Because of this, a lot of oil stains on our food and some dirty water will remain on the stove. Many people are lazy and don’t wipe the stove at all. This will cause a lot of oil stains to accumulate on the stove. At this time, the best thing is to use some methods to clean the stove, especially the stainless steel signboard should be cleaned even more.

1. Deep clean the stove

We can mix two spoons of white vinegar with 200 ml of warm water, and then use a sponge and loofah to dip this "hot vinegar water" to clean the stainless steel stove, which can make it look bright as new. You can also mix 500 ml of hot water with 30 grams of baking soda, and then dip a loofah in it to easily remove grease from the stove. If the grease on the stove is stubborn, you can sprinkle baking soda directly on the stove and then wipe it with a cloth. Use a rag to dip in coarse salt used for pickling vegetables, and you can easily "rub" off the grease on stainless steel and glass stoves, but be sure to wipe off the salt afterwards, otherwise the stainless steel stove will turn black.

Soak a whole piece of scouring pad in beer for a while, then wipe the stove with stubborn stains, and the stove will be as bright as new. Use the inner surface of potato peels to wipe the areas on the stove that have been discolored by oil and soup, and then rinse them again with hot water. You will see a particularly bright stove. This is because the starch in potato peels is the "effective tool" for removing oil and stains. You can also use the heads and tails of radish and cucumber pieces dipped in a little detergent to scrub the greasy areas of the stove, and then wipe it twice with a rag dipped in clean water. The effect is also very good.

2. Apply a mask to a deeply dirty stove

If the stove has stubborn stains that are hard to remove, don't rush to use a wire brush or steel wool to deal with it. The strong rubbing of the steel wool may damage the stove's shiny surface and leave scratches in all directions. You can soak toilet paper or paper towels, place them on the stove for about 15 minutes, then peel off the "stove mask" and you will find that the oil stains have been "removed" by the paper towels. The more stubborn the oil stains are, the longer you should apply the mask. The fan inside the range hood can also be cleaned in the same way.

If the stove is not very dirty, you can use beer, rice water, or noodle soup instead of "oil fume cleaner" to "apply a facial mask". We usually do not throw away the water left over from washing rice, the thicker part after letting it stand in the steamer, or the noodle soup left over from cooking noodles. These two types of water contain a lot of starch, which has a strong ability to "remove" grease stains after coming into contact with the stove grease in the form of a "facial mask". The wheat flowers in the beer foam are also the nemesis of grease stains.

In addition, if the grill is stained by spilled soup or grease, even if you wipe it with detergent, it may not be able to make it clean. You may want to "boil the fire racks in water". The method is to fill a pot with water first, put all the fire racks on the stove in to boil, and when the water is hot, the sticky dirt will decompose and peel off. The air holes on the stove that control the flame are often blocked by soup, causing incomplete combustion, so the stove must be taken down every week and the air holes must be cleaned one by one with a toothpick under the light. The carbonized matter and coke accumulated on the stove can be removed with a small fine brush, or by piercing the fire holes one by one with a thin wire.

So the first thing is to give the stove a deeper cleaning. Many people have a lot of grease on their stoves, so you should use some grease removers to clean your stainless steel stove. In fact, foods such as potato peels can effectively remove grease on the stove, and cucumber water can also remove grease on the stove.
