What are the methods for checking liver hardness?

In daily life, we often see that friends with hepatitis appear to be relatively inferior, because hepatitis B is a highly contagious disease, which will be detrimental to their work and family life, and will also make people around them look at them with tinted glasses. So what are the methods for checking liver hardness? In order to better solve this problem, please join me in learning about it in the following time.

Liver fibrosis is an extremely important link in the development of liver cirrhosis and an early stage of liver cirrhosis. Most cases of cirrhosis develop from liver fibrosis. Inhibiting liver fibrosis can prevent the occurrence of most liver cirrhosis. According to the degree of liver fibrosis, it can be divided into four levels: mild, moderate, severe and cirrhosis. It is generally believed that mild fibrosis is the easiest to control. Mild fibrosis can disappear as long as the cause is eliminated, such as patients with alcoholic hepatitis quitting drinking, patients with fatty liver losing weight, patients with drug-induced hepatitis stopping drugs that cause liver damage, and patients with viral hepatitis taking antiviral drugs. As long as patients with moderate, severe and early-stage cirrhosis persist in treatment, liver fibrosis can be reversed. For patients with severe cirrhosis, due to the complexity of the disease, rapid progression and high mortality rate, the hardened liver is often difficult to "soften", and other treatments are not very effective except for liver transplantation.

Since liver disease does not have obvious symptoms and discomfort like heart disease, pneumonia and other diseases, it is necessary to go to the hospital for appropriate examinations to confirm or rule out liver disease. The examination of liver fibrosis is a relatively difficult task. So far, in clinical practice, there is no simple and reliable method except liver puncture biopsy. Several methods are usually used in combination to determine whether a patient has liver fibrosis. (1) Whether the patient has a history of liver disease. Generally speaking, liver fibrosis is associated with chronic liver disease. If a patient has never had liver disease or even if he has had liver disease, but it was acute hepatitis such as hepatitis A, it is unlikely that he will have liver fibrosis. (2) Serum biochemical examination Currently, serum biochemical examination is a common non-invasive method for evaluating liver fibrosis. The liver fibrosis indicators in the blood mainly include hyaluronic acid (HA), laminin (LN), type III procollagen (PIIINP) and type IV collagen (IVC).

The above paragraphs have given us a good introduction to the methods of liver hardness testing. I sincerely hope that friends who have doubts in this regard can read the above content carefully, so that they can have a deeper understanding and more proficient mastery of these methods. Of course, I would like to remind everyone that the liver is a well-known detoxification organ in the human body, but a large amount of alcohol will cause more liver lesions, so this reminds people not to drink in large quantities.
