Traditional Chinese medicine is the crystallization of thousands of years of wisdom of our ancestors. Although Chinese medicine may be slower than Western medicine in treating diseases, it is more thorough and effective. Moreover, the side effects of traditional Chinese medicine in treating diseases are very small. Traditional Chinese medicine uses common foods, animals, and plants to treat diseases. So many people choose traditional Chinese medicine for treatment. So what methods does traditional Chinese medicine use to treat weakened spleen function? Let’s talk about it below. (1) Main transport Yun means transportation and transport; Hua means digestion and absorption. The spleen is responsible for transportation and transformation, which means that the spleen has the physiological function of transforming water and grain into fine substances and transferring the fine substances to the whole body. The spleen's transportation and transformation functions can be divided into two aspects: transportation and transformation of food and transport and transformation of fluids. To transport and transform water and grain refers to the digestion and absorption of food. After food enters the stomach, it undergoes initial digestion and is then transported to the spleen, which further digests it and absorbs the essence in it. It is then transferred to the heart and lungs, transformed into qi and blood that are distributed throughout the body, allowing the organs, meridians and other tissues to receive adequate nutrition. Therefore, the spleen and stomach are called "the foundation of acquired constitution" and "the source of Qi and blood production." The transportation and transformation of water refers to the absorption, transfer and distribution of water. The nutrients absorbed from food are mostly in liquid form. The so-called function of transporting and transforming water is to transfer the excess water in the absorbed grain essence to the lungs and kidneys in a timely manner, and through the gasification function of the lungs and kidneys, it is converted into sweat and urine and excreted from the body. Therefore, if the spleen's function of transporting and transforming water is strong, it can prevent the formation of pathological products such as dampness, phlegm and fluid. On the contrary, a decline in the spleen's function of transporting and transforming water will inevitably lead to stagnation of water in the body, accumulation of moisture, production of phlegm, and even edema. This is the mechanism by which spleen deficiency produces dampness, the spleen is the source of phlegm, and the occurrence of spleen deficiency edema. (2) Mainly promotes the clearing of the lungs The spleen's function of transportation and transformation is mainly to raise the clear. The so-called "sheng" in "shengqing" refers to the movement characteristics of spleen qi, which is mainly upward, so it is also said that "spleen qi is mainly upward." "Qing" refers to nutrients such as the essence of water and grain. "Ascending the clear" refers to the absorption of nutrients such as the essence of food and water and their transport to the heart, lungs, and head, where they are transformed into qi and blood through the action of the heart and lungs to nourish the entire body, hence the saying "the spleen is healthy when it ascends." On the other hand, the spleen's function of ascending qi is also an important factor in maintaining the relatively constant position of the internal organs of the human body. Therefore, only when the spleen's ascending function is normal can nutrients such as water and grain be absorbed and distributed normally, and the human body can have the potential to thrive. At the same time, it is also because of the ascending function of spleen that the internal organs will not sag. (3) Main blood Tong means to dominate and control. The spleen governs blood, which means that the spleen has the function of controlling the flow of blood in the meridians and preventing it from escaping from the meridians. The main mechanism by which the spleen controls blood is actually the spleen's consolidating function. If the spleen is healthy, the blood can flow along its normal path. If the spleen is weak and cannot control the flow of blood in the blood vessels, it can lead to bleeding symptoms such as blood in the stool, blood in the urine, and metrorrhagia, which is also called "the spleen fails to control blood." Traditional Chinese medicine mainly uses the methods introduced above to treat weakened spleen function. Using these methods can be very effective in treating weakened spleen function. When choosing a specific treatment method, you can choose according to your actual situation. This will lead to a more rational treatment effect. In addition, you must persist in taking the medicine only after the treatment is completed. |
