Some people have high blood lipids. These people tend to exercise less in their lives, like to eat greasy food, and have bad habits of smoking and drinking. Whether you have high blood lipids or normal blood lipids, it is best to go to the hospital for a physical examination every year to check your blood lipid status. This can effectively assess your physical health and provide some guidance for your daily diet. Of course, there are some issues that you should pay attention to before having a blood lipid test. You should not drink a lot of alcohol 3 days before blood drawing. Drinking alcohol can also affect the concentration of blood lipids, such as significantly increasing the concentration of triglycerides in the blood and reducing the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, which will cause errors in the test results. Clinically, it has been found that people who drink a lot of alcohol often have significantly increased blood lipid concentrations, especially triglyceride concentrations, within 2-3 days. Therefore, you cannot drink a lot of alcohol within 3 days before blood collection, and you cannot even drink a small amount of alcohol within 24 hours. Do not do strenuous exercise the day before a blood lipid test. Strenuous exercise will have a certain impact on blood lipids. Body posture will affect the distribution of water inside and outside the blood vessels, thereby affecting the concentration of blood lipids. Studies have shown that standing for 5 minutes can increase blood lipid concentration by 5%, and 15 minutes can increase it by 16%. Therefore, it is best not to engage in strenuous physical exercise the day before the test; you should sit in a chair and rest for 5-10 minutes before drawing blood. You need to fast for 10-12 hours before a blood lipid test. After a meal, the concentration of blood lipids, especially triglycerides, will increase significantly. Generally speaking, blood lipid concentration reaches its peak 2-4 hours after a meal, and basically returns to the fasting level after 8 hours. However, if you fast for too long, the fat stored in your body will be "mobilized", which will increase the concentration of triglycerides and affect the results of blood lipid measurements. Therefore, you should not be hungry for too long, and fasting for 10-12 hours is ideal. Eating too heavy, salty and oily food on a daily basis can lead to high blood lipids. Especially in many places in southern my country, some people like to use lard to cook, which will inevitably make blood lipids high. So for the sake of your own health, it is best not to use lard to cook often, keep a light diet, and exercise more. |
