Causes of recurrent scarlet fever

Causes of recurrent scarlet fever

The phenomenon of repeated fever in scarlet fever is very similar to the common cold in our daily life. Many people will treat this disease as a cold, because when you have a fever, most people think of cooling down first. Only by lowering the body temperature can you avoid inflammation and avoid various diseases. So what is the reason for repeated fever in scarlet fever?

Symptoms: Typical symptoms of this disease are fever, chills, headache, a diffuse, fine and rough, bright red rash all over the body, with obvious desquamation after the rash subsides, as well as symptoms of pharyngitis (sore throat, dry throat, foreign body sensation in the throat, herpes, ulcers, etc.) and general discomfort.

However, due to the different types of diseases, the clinical symptoms they manifest are also different.

1. Common type: Most people develop this type of disease. There are fever, pharyngitis and typical rash, as well as general poisoning symptoms, which may be accompanied by swollen submandibular lymph nodes. The course of the disease is about 1 week.

2. Septic type: Symptoms include redness, swelling, heat and pain in the throat, which may be filled with purulent secretions, and even local mucosal necrosis and ulcers. This type of bacteria can easily spread to nearby tissues and is often accompanied by a series of complications.

3. Toxic type: relatively rare, mainly characterized by obvious poisoning symptoms (soxemia), including high fever, headache, severe vomiting, hemorrhagic rash, and even unconsciousness. It may also cause toxic myocarditis and peripheral circulatory failure leading to shock, with a high mortality rate.

4. Surgical or obstetric type: Pathogens can invade through wounds or birth canal. There is no symptom of pharyngitis. Only a rash appears locally first and then spreads throughout the body. Most of the systemic symptoms are mild.

This disease needs to be differentiated from measles, rubella, drug rash, Kawasaki disease and other diseases. Once symptoms appear, seek medical treatment in time.
