How to wash medicine stains off clothes

In daily life, we often encounter situations where medicine stains get on clothes, especially on babies' clothes. If you encounter this situation, you need to take off the clothes and soak them in time, which will be easier to remove, but there will still be medicine stains left. For medicine stains or medicine stains, you can choose some high-quality laundry products, which are easier to clean and will not harm the care of clothes.

First, remove the Chinese medicine stains on the clothes. If there are Chinese medicine stains on the clothes, they should be treated immediately, and then washed with laundry detergent or soap containing decomposing enzyme ingredients. The cleaning steps are as follows:

Procedure 1. Turn the clothes stained with Chinese medicine inside out and pat the stains repeatedly with toilet paper or a rag dipped in water.

Procedure 2: Use a cloth or toilet paper dipped in diluted detergent to pat the surface. If the dirt is more serious, use diluted bleach to pat the surface.

Procedure 3. After the stain becomes lighter in color, use a cloth or toilet paper dipped in water to pat the stain and the surrounding area.

Step 4: Finally, soak in detergent and wash. Remember, clothes with Chinese medicine stains should be cleaned before being thrown into the washing machine or washed with detergent.

It can be removed by washing with 2% oxalic acid solution in warm water at about 50°C, and then rinsed with clean water. Grind 3-4 vitamin C tablets into powder, sprinkle it on the dirty areas of wet clothes, and then rub them with water several times.

If clothes are stained with mercurochrome, first wash them with warm detergent solution, then soak and scrub them with oxalic acid and potassium permanganate solutions respectively, and finally decolorize them with oxalic acid solution and wash them with water. The mercurochrome stains will be removed. To remove gentian violet stains, soak the clothes in water, wring them out slightly, and use a cotton swab dipped in 20% oxalic acid solution to apply the stain from the inside out. After soaking for a while, you can rinse and rub it repeatedly with clean water and the stains will be removed. In addition, for some white fabrics stained with gentian violet, you can first use solvent alcohol to remove the floating color, and then use the oxidizing agent sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide solution for bleaching, and then wash with water to achieve the desired effect. If your clothes are stained with iodine, you can use alcohol or potassium iodide to remove it. Add 5 to 7 grams of potassium iodide to 100 ml of water. Be sure to rinse the clothes thoroughly with clean water after removing stains with potassium iodide solution. You can also soak the iodine-stained clothes in hot water or a 15% to 20% concentration of baking soda (sodium thiosulfate) hot solution for 2 hours to completely dissolve the stains and remove them from the clothes. You can also apply a paste of water and starch to the stain. When the stain turns black, wash it with detergent and rinse it clean.

Once you have mastered these methods, it will be easier to clean medicinal stains, especially stains from traditional Chinese medicine, or various wound cleaning potions commonly used in the household. If your clothes are accidentally stained, you can use these methods to remove them. However, it is still best to take measures when feeding your baby medicine, such as putting a towel under it to avoid getting the clothes stained.
