How to wash ink from clothes

How to wash ink from clothes

I believe that many people must have had ink on their clothes. I have personally tested that ordinary water washing methods will not have any effect. On the contrary, it will make people feel that the ink has penetrated deeper into the clothes, which is really a headache. It is a big problem to absorb the ink on clothes because it is really difficult to wash it off with ordinary methods. Therefore, we can start by studying the composition of ink and find chemical solutions to make clothes cleaner and avoid secondary pollution.

The main components of ink are oil and fine-grained black pigment. To remove ink from clothing, solvents such as gasoline and xylene should be used to first remove the grease in the ink, and as the grease is removed, most of the black pigment is also removed. During the operation, you should place an absorbent towel under the stain, and then use a cotton ball dipped in the corresponding solvent to slowly dissolve the stain to avoid secondary contamination. The color base left after the ink is removed can be removed by using insurance powder (white clothes) or hydrogen peroxide. Once the stain is removed, wash the garment again. Please note that you must not wash with water first, otherwise it is very easy to cause secondary pollution!

There are many types of ink, including carbon ink, pure blue ink, blue-black ink, red ink, etc. Different methods should be used to remove them. For ordinary blue ink stains, you can first soak them with cold water, then use soap or laundry detergent to soak and brush to remove floating color, and then use 1-3% sodium hypochlorite solution for oxidation and rinse to remove them. The above method can also be used to remove pure blue ink and red ink stains. If there are still color background stains, you can use 2% insurance powder solution to restore and remove them. Carbon ink may still have color background traces or old marks during the removal process, which can be immersed in 2% oxalic acid warm water solution for a few minutes to remove them.

The main components of ink stains are glue and carbon ink. Generally, ink stains fabrics and is attached to the surface of the fabric and is easily soluble in water. Therefore, starch slurry can be used to remove stains. Or put rice on the contaminated part of the fabric, rub it gently and repeatedly with even force. The carbon ink that has penetrated into the fiber will be brought out by the sticky starch in the rice. After the above treatment, wash it thoroughly with laundry detergent or soapy water.

Now you probably understand the main components of ink. Using scientific principles to remove ink is the most feasible method. These little tricks are very simple and can be easily performed at home. The cost is not high, so it is very easy to solve the problem of ink staining clothes. Let's try this method quickly.
