What are the methods for detecting Helicobacter pylori

Helicobacter pylori is one of the important causes of maintenance warehouse diseases. At present, humans are not very clear about the cause of disease and infection route of Helicobacter pylori. Infection with this bacteria can easily lead to gastritis and may even cause gastric cancer. To avoid infection, pay attention to food hygiene and be careful not to share tableware with strangers. Let’s take a look at the detection methods for Helicobacter pylori.

Immunological testing: Helicobacter pylori infection is detected by measuring Helicobacter pylori antibodies in serum, including complement fixation test, agglutination test, passive hemagglutination assay, immunoblotting technology and enzyme-linked adsorption assay. Direct examination of bacteria: Through gastroscopy, gastric mucosa is taken for direct smear and staining, tissue section staining and bacterial culture to detect Helicobacter pylori.

Bacterial culture: The gastric mucosal biopsy specimen is cultured under a microaerobic environment. If Helicobacter pylori is cultured, Helicobacter pylori infection can be diagnosed. Because of its specificity of up to 100%, it is often regarded as the "gold standard" for the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection. It can be used to verify other diagnostic experiments, and can also be used for drug sensitivity testing, bacterial typing, pathogenic gene research, etc. However, it is the most technically demanding method for diagnosing Helicobacter pylori, requiring a lot of money, time and manpower, which limits its clinical use and it is mainly used for scientific research. It should also be noted that factors such as too few bacteria in the gastric mucosal tissue and poor bacterial reproduction ability may affect the culture of Helicobacter pylori and lead to false negatives.

If you are unfortunately infected with Helicobacter pylori, you should pay attention to eating easily digestible food, sufficient calorie diet, and eat more foods rich in protein and vitamins. For example, you can eat porridge, thin noodles, milk, etc. on a daily basis. Also pay attention to the nutrition of your diet, don't eat too much at each meal, and eat small meals frequently. The vomit of an infected person should be cleaned up to avoid infecting others.
