Are tampons really useful?

Are tampons really useful?

In addition to using common sanitary napkins during their menstrual period, many female friends can now also use an internal tampon, which is the most popular abroad. However, since internal tampons are not popular in our country and not many people use them, many female friends have such a question in their minds, that is, are tampons easy to use? Let us take a detailed look at it below.

1. What is OB? What material is it made of?

OB is what we often call an internal tampon. Different from ordinary sanitary napkins, it is cylindrical and has strong water absorption. It can be placed in the vagina during menstruation to absorb menstrual blood. The material is mainly made of cotton, synthetic fiber or a mixture of these two materials, which basically does not cause any harm to the skin.

2. How to put it into the body correctly?

How to use OB correctly? First wash your hands, then remove the cellophane on the tampon, then loosen the cotton thread, hold the tail end of the tampon with one hand and slowly insert it into the vagina. Note that the cotton thread needs to be exposed. Some girls who are using it for the first time or have dry vagina may find it difficult to insert the OB into their body while standing. In this case, they can insert it while sitting or with one leg crossed on a chair.

3. What should I do if I can’t take it out?

When removing it, just use the cotton string that remains outside the body to gently pull the tampon out and throw it away. If you can't find the cotton string, you can push the tampon out the same way you would urinate or have a bowel movement. If the above methods can't help you take out the tampon in your body, then seek help from a professional doctor as soon as possible!

4. What should I do if it falls out while walking?

Many women who use OB for the first time worry whether the built-in tampon will enter their uterus when they walk, or whether it will be misplaced and cause bleeding to stain their pants. In fact, this will not happen at all, because the muscles of the vaginal wall are elastic and will fix the tampon in its original position and will not move easily. Moreover, the cervical opening at the top of the tampon is extremely small, which is not enough for the tampon to pass through and enter the uterus.

5. When is it better to use?

Is it better to use an internal tampon when the flow is heavy? Or is it better to use it when the flow is light? Experts recommend that women use tampons when their period is about to end or when the flow is light. Because of the heavy menstrual flow, and the tampon soaked with menstrual blood blocks the vagina, the menstrual blood cannot flow out smoothly. The menstrual blood that cannot flow out of the vagina is likely to flow back into the uterine cavity, causing poisoning in the body.

6. Change frequently, otherwise it is easy to cause disease

Although tampons are convenient, safe and have many advantages, they need to be inserted into the vagina to form a closed space and must be replaced frequently. If they are not replaced regularly, it is easy to cause an increase in bacteria in the vagina, resulting in infection and inflammation, and may even develop into toxic shock.

7. How often should it be replaced?

It is mentioned above that OB needs to be replaced frequently, but how often is the most appropriate time to replace it? Generally speaking, we recommend changing it every 2-3 hours of use, or if you see that the cotton thread under the built-in tampon is dirty when going to the toilet, you need to replace it with a new one. In addition, when the amount is small, do not extend the usage time for fear of wasting it.

Although built-in tampons are very convenient to use, female friends must replace them frequently when using them. If you are not careful, it will endanger human health. Therefore, for the sake of their own health, female friends must be cautious when using built-in tampons.
