How can I remove oil stains from clothes?

When we eat, it is inevitable that clothes will get oil stains. Some oil stains are relatively easy to remove and can be removed with general cleaning methods, but some oil stains are more stubborn and may even tear the clothes to pieces before they can be removed, which really damages the clothes. What are some tips for removing oil stains from clothes? Let us understand this issue together.

1. Use dishwashing liquid

Apply a small amount of detergent on the oily spots and leave it for half an hour to allow the detergent to fully dissolve the oily spots. After the time is up, gently rub the oily spots and then rinse. I have used this method many times, and it works well.

2. Cleaning after soaking

The shorter the time a stain stays on your clothing, the easier it is to remove. You can first soak it in detergent for 30 minutes, apply more detergent on the oily areas, then rub it, and finally rinse it with clean water.

3. Hydrogen peroxide stain removal

Because blood contains protein, which is difficult to dissolve when exposed to heat, hot water cannot be used to remove blood stains. If you drop a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (sold at pharmacies) on the blood stain, or scrub it with white radish juice, you can also quickly remove the blood stain.

Four: gasoline to remove oil stains

Drop some gasoline on the oil stain. After the gasoline evaporates, the oil stain will disappear as well. You can also remove grease by applying alcohol or salt solution to the grease stain. If cooking oil (such as soup oil) stains your clothes, soak them in warm salt water, then rub them with soap and rinse them to remove the stains. In addition, place blotting paper on the oil stain and iron it with an iron. The oil stain will evaporate when heated and be absorbed by the blotting paper.

It is already late autumn, the weather is getting cooler, and the water temperature is starting to drop, so you should wear gloves when washing clothes to avoid frostbite on your hands. The shorter the time that an oil stain stays on your clothes, the easier it is to remove, so it is best to change your clothes and wash them as soon as they get stained.
